A Lecture Theatre with a seating capacity of 200 seats provides the right venue for Academics as well as Government bodies, para-statal organisations and socio-cultural organisations for conducting workshops, seminars, working sessions and knowledge sharing.
Permanent Tagore Gallery
A Permanent Tagore Gallery which is supported by the Public cum Academic Library that depicts the life and works of Tagore.
Diaspora and Transnational Communities
A Department of Diaspora and Transnational Communities which publishes a yearly refereed Journal of Rabindranath Tagore Institute entitled New Insights. The department has various research projects which cut across disciplines. To become a centre for research in Diaspora and in Transnational Communities, “where the clear stream of reason” meanders across the “mutual interconnectedness” of “a world not broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls”. The objectives of the Department are as follows:
- To build capacity and seek collaboration from national and international bodies to foster and promote research in Diaspora and in Transnational Communities.
- To contribute to policy making in specific areas through research outcomes
- To use research outcomes in taught programme of studies.
