Subjects taught at Pre-Vocational include a core related to general and functional education and practical subjects. Subjects at mainstream level include a compulsory core combined with subjects from the Arts, Sciences and Technical streams. Asian Languages, Fine Arts, Music and Dance are offered as options. Values and Growing-Up Education is offered to bring the necessary attitudinal change, and help students become better citizens of the country. Many more combinations are offered to our students to increase their versatility and allow for flexibility in the choice of a career. While helping in the manpower requirements of the country, the MGI schools sustain the development of Asian languages, which is primordial in capacity building and promotion of Culture and Traditions. Sports activities is not negkected in the capacity building of students especially as MGI schools are being equipped with infrastructural facilities.

Besides co-curricular activities, all MGI secondary schools involve themselves in various extra-curricular activities. Drama club was launched in all schools in 2008 and these provide an opportunity to the students to adapt to the personality of the characters and hence, this can help bring a change in the way of thinking of the individual. A drama festival is organised among the MGI schools every year and students are rewarded for their performances. 

MGI schools also demarcate itself with other schools by organising several extra-curricular competitions such as the MGI Model United Nations and establishing exchange programmes with schools in England and India.  The combination of academic and non academic activities at the MGI helps in the holistic development of our students.
